Seat Redo
« on: September 09, 2015, 05:56:36 PM »
Dropped my seats off to Upolstry man, pretty excited about getting them back although it will be a couple of weeks

The guy I use is an artist, maybe the best Ive ever found. He does it all in a little shed behind his house, and he has great prices!

ordered NOS material, yes it was pricey, but since the back seat was perfect I saved money getting it redone so it worked out about the same.

Now im just trying to be patient.......

Got the seats back from the upolstery guy, he did a fantastic job as always, look completely stock in every detail, while they were out I replaced the carpet front and back and added insulation under the carpet for sound.

He also stitched on the new carpet on the back of the back seats and made me a custom spare tire cover from the extra material

Interior looks like it's 1981 all over again, and it even has that new car smell!

Thanks, we were talking about  the name today, smokey doesn't fit as well anymore, but I think it's already stuck and may have to stay the same

Maybe " the car formerly known as smokey" ?
