85 Eagle Wagon in Ontario California
« on: August 16, 2016, 10:14:57 AM »
I went to take a look at this wagon yesterday and really wanted to take it home. The body is in good shape and there is no rust.  I didn't see any rust under the car either. As seen in the photos the grille is missing.  The interior was dusty, but looked like it would clean up nicely. The owners manual showed it was purchased in October of 84 in Vail. It looks like it has been sitting in the lot for quite a while. They recently dropped the price from $1999 to $999. I am guessing this is because their building next to the lot just burned and they lost a ton of inventory. The rear tail light was melted because it was so close to the fire. The two drivers side door handles do not operate and the rear passenger window was stuck half way down.  They performed a pretty weak attempt to jump it, but couldn't it get it going. With a little more effort it seemed like it would fire up. If I had the space and my wife wouldn't have killed me, I probably would have made an offer on it.
