I regretfully sold my black 88 wagon a few weeks ago to partially fund the restoration of my Spirit AMX and some construction on my house.  Then today the phone rings with a lead on some kind of AMC car, as my friend wasn't too sure what it was.  I said I'm not really looking to buy anymore cars.  He was like well the guy selling it wants 1000 bucks at least go see what it is maybe its a Javelin and you'll miss out.  So after I finished my coffee I hitched up the dolly and took a ride.  Well it turned out to be a 1983 SX/4 tucked away deep in the weeds.  74000 miles auto A/C and no rust or rot anywhere.  I smacked around with a hammer and it was solid everywhere I hit it.  Has a new rear and leafs and brandy new 215-75-15 A/T tires.  I offered 500 on top of cleaning and clearing the yard to pull it out to the road and the seller said yes.  So here  it is,  my 6th Eagle and 8th AMC car,  a nice solid 1983 SX/4 project.

I am also still looking for the rear marker lenses I forgot what member here was making them.  If anybody can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

Great score! A very nice looking sx!
Can't believe it sat in the weeds and has no rot... lucky!
I am jealous... I want that center steering wheel cap.

The member that does the rear side marker lenses is dleberfinger
