727 conversion: crossmember alteration

My original eagle trans crossmember isn't looking like it's going to line up. What solutions have people found? Not really sure if I need to drill new holes or fabricating a mounting block for between the crossmember and trans I'd like to keep the rubber mount.     Thanks I advance.  Ive been making good head way on this conversion and I'd like to get past this roadblock w a quality solution.

I used the 999 mount off the Eagle on my 727. No mods (unless you have the crossbar backwards like I almost did because my helper turned it around on me)

Your Eagle cross member should work.  About the only mod needed is to mess with the dipstick tube a bit.  .

Ok.  I'm going to feel real stupid if I have it backwards.  Lol. So Dumb question does the notch go on the driver or passenger side?

The "bump" in the crossbar goes on the pass side above the exhaust pipe.

The rubber mount is offset. On a 4 cylinder Eagle it sits one way and on a six cylinder it sits 180 degree different. That makes the transmission in a 4 cylinder an inch up and an inch over while using the same rubber part.

You may have that rubber mount backwards. It matters how its orientated.

Ok I assumed the hump was for the drive shaft.  It's been awhile since I pulled it

When you put the vacuum linkage on, bend the shift linkage to the left (in this pic) so it's outside it or it will jam up.

Thank you sir.  Any advice is welcome.  You do see it's not hooked up, right?   Or are you referring to the part the rods hook too? I nixed those bend easy when I was removing them.
