1988 AMC EAGLE WAGON

 :eaglebig:

I  have always been a fan of AMC Eagles. I grew up in Minnesota and the only things that weren't stuck after a blizzard were 4wd  trucks and Eagles. I was looking for a 4wd this past November to get me through this incredibly snowy and cold winter and  I was very surprised when my husband jokingly said "How about an Eage wagon." Needless to say he was pretty shocked to see how excited I got. They were selling it for 550.00 because it had some carb issues and they just didn't want to deal with it anymore. So I 2 stepped it home and I have been grinning ear to ear ever since.  It is all stock. The fake wood is horribly faded and the driver's seat is cracking but the AC still works, and all the suspension (although a little squeeky) is stiff as can be. I will be putting it away to work on it this summer when I bring my summer car out to play.

nice i'm kind of curious how the underside looks though seeing as the rest of it looks pretty good. I see it also still has the factory aluminum wheels on it.

You know, especially on the passenger side, the wear on the woodgrain almost looks like a natural wood wear and adds some character to your car.

I will get some pics of the underside. The rocker panels, wheel wells, and  frame are all in SPECTACULAR condition. I had a hard time believing it has been in Minnesota its entire life. The wood grain definitely could use some help but your right IowaEagle, the one side does look like very au naturel.

Judging by the uneven fade on the passenger side to driver side on the wood grain I would imagine that car sat somewhere for a very long time so probably didn't even see a bunch of those salty Minnesota roads. It looks surprisingly well off for a rust belt Eagle! Congrats on the score!
