front shocks

Help!! Do you remove shock towers under hood to replace front shocks on my 83 Eagle?

Yes,

Plus the two nuts at the bottom of the shock

I don't think you need to remove the entire shock towers.  You only have to remove the bracket on the top, along with the two nuts at the bottom.

Yes sorry, not the whole tower, just the black cap looking thing that has the shock bolt sticking up thru it, it's like 5 or six nuts and it comes right off

Spray paint it while it's off, makes it look new!

It looks like two different answers do you remove just the center nut on the shock, or remove the 3 or 4 nuts on the shock tower.
