Rear wiper and defrost quit working
« on: November 14, 2012, 04:59:32 PM »
Had started another thread on this issue but I can't find it ???

Anyways, right before I bought my Eagle 3 years ago the front windshield was replaced and ever since there's been a leak on the passenger side floor that's gotten steadily worse...Not sure if this is part of the issue.

For the first few months I had the car the rear wiper and defrost worked flawlessly then all of a sudden during a snowstorm they both quit working. The wiper started to operate erratically then parked itself and has never worked since. If I leave the switch for either the wipers or the rear defrost on it blows the fuse for the turn signals. About a week or two before they quit working I replaced a broken liftgate hinge on the right side, not sure if it's related but makes me wonder.

I've checked the wires going to them and they're both in great shape where they exit the car body and go into the liftgate.

Any ideas what might be causing this problem?

Thanks!
