Wiper Pressure Arms
« on: July 18, 2012, 12:22:18 PM »
I have a 83 SX/4 the wiper pressure arm broke when I tried to replace the wiper blade.  Went to several auto parts and none of them have a replacement.  Where do you get these, I need both pressure arms

I called Paul, with the SX4 in Idaho Springs, and he doesn't have any lying around.

you can always just install arms from an XJ Cherokee on your eagle and have the better wiper blade attachment

I'm with revbill here. I purchased the XJ wiper arms and they are a million times better with the actual hook attachment of the blades. 97+ have the hook. 96- have the same style as the Eagle if you really must have the stock looking blades...but I highly recommend the 97+ arms with the hook.

I found out when I purchased some blades that were supposed to work with my wipers and there was just absolutely no way to snap them into place. I could tell they would just fly off. So before I got the duct tape out and taped them to the wiper arms I came to the forum and some people mentioned the Cherokee arms. Picked some up at my local JY.
