My 1980 2 Door Sedan
« on: February 23, 2012, 11:01:02 AM »
Its been 5+ years in the making to rebuild this burnt out hull. I wish I was able to find the before pictures to show the drastic transformation. All that's left to do is new brake lines and undercoating & maybe a new master cylinder. I decided to post these pictures because my insurance company wanted them to insure the vehicle. Sometime today or tommorrow I am going for my plates. Its been a long time since she was on the road last & soon her wheels will be hitting the blacktop again.

My only screw up is being a smoker & I have already put a few burn marks in the drivers seat when I was working on the dash board. I'm still kicking myself in the you know what.

I don't want to be prejudice but I think she should qualify for the ROTM contest. Is it to late to get this baby in? or should we try for March lol.

Wow man. Looks really nice. I'd like to have a 2 Door Coupe sometime. Classy! Looks like you might have some work to do to straighten out that hood and maybe your drivers door isn't sitting real flush. Other than those things it looks quite well taken care of.

I like that blue interior.

Thanks Prafeston.

You just reminder me of 2 other things I have to do. Both the door & hood were open & the car was running when I took the photos. I have this fear that the doors will lock on me, but I guess it stems from when my son was younger & he locked the doors on another car with the key in the ignition once & it was a PIA to open it up, and wifey was out shopping with her mother & had the other set.  I need to make up another set of keys for the car & get a hood release cable which won't be easy to find.

I'm lucky, my Eagle came with two sets! :)

I have another Eagle that came with no keys. Start it using pliers!

one would be hard pressed to find a nicer one. Where was this car a few months back when 2 door sedans were the theme for eagle of the month?

Thanks guys.
2 months ago it was still under construction with no interior in it and the glass was put on it the month before for the first time in over 5 years.
Unfortunately its been my bad luck but I tried to get it in but 1 month was 4 doors & the other month was in the snow.
Maybe one day I will make it into the ROTM.
Thanks again
