So I'd thought I had a couple of interior lights burned out, and went looking last night for the automatic shifter selector light, and the HVAC light.

I pulled the shifter cover and found nothing other than extraordinarily stubborn black grease, and I pulled the HVAC controls and found only a loose vacuum switch that explained my always lukewarm air. No bulbs that I saw...

But then while looking at some diagrams, I see bulbs indicated for those locations!

Where does that shifter bulb live? tucked up inside the surround on the left side? And is an 1815 going to be another lost-to-the-sands-of-time NLA bulb like the 544 rear license light?

In that diagram it looks like only the SLE has HVAC lights? It's really tough to read... Hoping someone actually knows... Thanks.

Sorry for all the question spamming lately but my searches aren't turning much up, I'm guessing that "great delete" that I've seen mentioned was pretty recent.

Under the shifter bezel.  Its been a while since I had mine off but I remember the light bulb socket was attached to something that had to be removed to change the shifter lever.

I wonder if it was actually optional, and I just don't have it? I had the bezel up against the T, nothing was attached to it wire-wise.  Unless it's not in position, fallen off and tucked somewhere. I suppose that's possible.

The shifter bulb is on the shifter itself. There is a little orange indicator that attaches to the shifter on the bend of it which shows what gear you're in. This indicator also holds the bulb and shines it up through the orange arrow. You should see wires going down onto the shifter, those are the wires to the bulb. The bulb should just pull out of the holder. You may have to take out that black strip that goes under the indicator to see the holder.

The hvac light should be in the dash somewhere, not exactly sure where that one is though, I have never torn that far into my Eagles dash.  To

Ah, that makes sense, thanks!

I need an antenna extension and to find out why I don't have constant +12v on the pink wire to the radio after I installed my new head unit last night, so I'll be diving back in.  Maybe I can get a better look at the back of the HVAC controls if those are really supposed to be lit up.
