Oil pressure switch for guage
« on: June 24, 2011, 10:21:34 PM »
Anyone know if there are different switches for different years?  I was looking for a switch for my 86 and Oreilys website lists 1 (S333, $19.99) that fits 84-88 258 engines and (S4057, $53.99) that fits 80-83 258 engines.

Wow! Got mine from Autozone for $6.99, all the 3 prong switches are the same, they even used them on the 4.0's for a length of time.

The switches Marty is asking about are for the gauge option.  Both are 1-wire "big-can" units.  Wish I knew what was different (but I don't).   Thread size??   Rheostat resistance??   Or???
