I agree.  Seems like it wouldn't be too hard for them to make a platform and a bunch or interchangable bodies that can be assembled as owners would like.  Looking at my daughter's Jeep they are a pretty simple set up.

In the mid 80's they did have an AMC Jeep CJ style Power Wheel. My sister got one for christmas....I tried running it through this little irrigation creek behind our house....That poor thing went to the land fill with less than a half mile on it  :'(....Hey, what are big brothers for ;D

When I was in high school one of my friends' neighbors was throwing a jeep away, it was all cracked and falling apart.  We took it from their curb, took out the weeney 6 volt battery, and stuck a car battery in it.  That thing could really move, I'd say almost 5 mph!  We had a lot of fun tooling around the street in it  ;D

I posted pics somewhere when I first joined... my first set of wheels was when I was 6 years old as well. It was a Jeep Eagle. You know, the wrangler style jeep with the Eagle on the hood. I kept it put up until I was almost 20 years old.... then we got stupid one night with the video camera. I won't go into details, but just imagine a bunch of early 20's guys with a car, a rope and a power wheels. It was bad and regrettably, the power wheels did not survive. It was in really great shape too... if I'd have waited a few more years to "grow up", my daughter could have been riding in it. Very sad. :(
Its got style... its got class...
It goes the extra mile... and still kicks @ss.

I always wanted one of those when I was a kid.
A friend of mine has a daughter, and she has a corvette powerwheels, and she always tells me that she's going to race me.
