I bought the shifter separately from the world famous auction site. It was a complete unit with t-handle and all.
The lister at the time was charging $80, I believe he wants $120 nowadays for a complete one.

There is another source listed online for $95.

I got a good spare shifter out of an early 80s mustang fox body for $10, they are exactly the same as the stock Eagle shifter. My nearby parts yard had at least 3 of them, and they hardly have any cars.

It says the shifter seal is sold separately, so I ordered one with the bezel. It turns out mine came with one already installed, but at least I have an extra one now.

Hi, what is the correct part # to replace the AMC shift seal? I found numerous ones from 70's/80's Mustangs but there are a few options and I'd like to buy the right seal the first time ;-)

I replaced the whole bezel with a 74-78 mustang II, when I flipped the original over it had the Ford part number starting with D4 which is 74. It fit perfectly I’m sure if you buy the seal for those years it will be what you want. The new bezel that I got has more chrome than the original.

Thanks, Tom. So far I found D1 and C5 part numbers. I will keep looking because my shifter is fine so if I can just replace the seal that is my first choice.

Edit: It appears that part # D1FZ7351 or D1FZ-7351 will fit. The reason I say that is here is the complete bezel:
