NV3550 shifter location
« on: April 18, 2020, 10:34:57 AM »
New to the AMC world and forum. Been doing a lot of reading here and finding lots of great info. Just bought an NV3550 to swap into my ‘83 4 speed SX4 project car. I don’t have the tranny in my hands yet but would like to move forward with installing my new interior as I await its arrival. Question - will I need to modify the current hole in my tunnel where the 4 speed shifter now resides to accommodate the NV3550? Also will my 4 speed shifter stick work on the NV3550? Thanks.
