Seatbelt Warning Switch
« on: June 30, 2020, 09:07:46 AM »
I'm rebuilding my seatbelts and it seems there's two bare wires that run up the driver's seatbelt buckle and seem to go nowhere. Shorting the two wires together makes the seatbelt warning buzzer work again when the key is turned on so it's obviously the warning switch but besides a white U-shaped of plastic in the buckle all the other components of the switch are missing and there isn't a diagram in the TSM. Does someone have a good photograph of this thing?

Don't have a pic I'm afraid.   You won't find any data/diagrams/etc. in the TSM because that switch was a "non-serviceable" item.  If it went bad, the dealer just replaced the belt.

About what I expected. Safety devices not being serviceable because it risks safety.
Still, There's a slot on the back you poke a flat bladed screwdriver into and it releases the top and the whole buckle comes apart and snaps back together after. Makes it handy to replace worn release buttons.
