VAM owner
« on: July 05, 2019, 10:08:25 PM »
I was filling up my Kammback and a gentleman approached me and complimented me on my car and said at one time he owned an AMC but it was one that was made in Mexico.  So we chatted about his VAM for a bit.  He said he didn't know that there was ever a 4WD AMC so I told him a little bit more about Eagles.  Nice conversation and pretty cool to meet someone that owned a VAM.  When his wife came out of the gas station he pointed out my car to her and while I didn't hear what he said, you could tell he was excited to share the story of his car.
1981 Kammback 258 - "Pepe"
1980 Coupe 258 - "Ginger
1972 Gremlin X 304
1978 Gremlin 4 cyl 121 - sold
1964 TBird 390 - sold

The guy that bought White Eagle has a VAM Lerma. He's had it to a couple AMC meets/shows I think.
'83 AMC Eagle wagon 258/auto.
'84 AMC Eagle sedan (4 door) 258/auto.
PREVIOUS AMCs:
'72 Gremlin X 304/3 speed
'81 Eagle Kammback 258/4 speed (Purchased new)
'82 Eagle wagon 258/5 speed (Ordered new, traded Kammback)
'86 (I THINK) Eagle wagon - BlackBird 258/auto. (Got hit/totaled)
'83 Eagle wagon - White Eagle 258-auto. (Front subframe was rotted out - sold for parts)
