I have to replace the fuel tank in my 84 Wagon. What is the procedure for installing the filler neck? Any other helpful hints or tips?

Thanks

Filler neck unbolts by the licence plate, and just pulls out. If you get a replacement tank it just slides in. Might want to spray a bit of penetrant around it to make sure it comes out easily.

carnuck

Dieelectric grease or Silglyde to slide it in.
