hi does anyone know if the Chrysler/Mopar  anti cam-walk kit  P/N 83402890 is still available? second question why did the 258 NOT use a timing chain snubber while the 2.5 and the 4.0 did, seeing all all three use the same timing cover? thanks gz

hi after a lot of research...I had the wrong part number. the correct one is P/N 83502890, and it is still available at your Mopar dealer or Hesco etc. this is good insurance/upgrade (only about $8-20) if you are building a 258. The 4.0s come with this stock I understand. The second question I still don't know. Why did the 4.0 come with a timing chain tensioner/snubber, and the 4.2 did not? Same chain and timing cover afaik. thanks gz

Never saw the snubber on a 4.0 but I have on the 2.5 and they wear out pretty quick and start clanking.
AMC/Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental!
