I think they came in mid to late 90s Grand Cherokees.  I've only seen one Cherokee have one, but most of the Grand Cherokees from that time period have them.

If it helps at all, the particular Grand Cherokee generation that these overhead consoles are from were in the Grand Cherokee's made from 1993-1998. The one I got mine from (and yet to install) was a 1995 model.

On a similar note to the overhead console, I bought the rear speaker bar from an XJ. Going to try to modify the light to look a bit better in it (and for a delightful rear hatch light!).

Man, just need to find an overhead console now!
