Can't decide to rebuild my 4.2 166,000 or snag a 4.2 out of salvage with 85k and rebuild it. the pulled motor is only 250. Advice?

It all depends on how much time you're willing to spend. The money will be there. It always comes to the rescue sooner or later. It's the reliability that makes us wonder about the now vs later. Personally, there's always good things in having a backup plan in case one day your current motor decides to have enough of this and randomly blow up on the freeway. I like being ready for that scenario. :)
