Strut Rod Bracket Hole
« on: August 30, 2012, 06:29:49 PM »
Maybe I am not looking hard enough, but I think it has been deleted.  There used to be a thread that had how to repair this bracket to bring the hole back to round.  Mainly what I want to know is what size the hole is supposed to be stock.  I had bought cheap-o autozone strut rod bushings because I was flat broke at the time, but I think they have worn out the hole as they are starting to clunk on tight turns or bigger bumps.  Can anyone provide me with this measurement?

  • If a hammer won't fix it, it's probably electrical

I'm doing the same job, I just welded them up, then I will have to reshape the hole.

you can just use large washers to fix it. my holes are dectroyed and it shredded my first set of bushings....put some washers to "make the hole round" and bought poly bushings...all is well
