This is actually my first post so hi everyone!  I don't have an eagle yet but by this weekend I hope I will.  Anyways there's another eagle (sx4) near me and was thinking about getting it for parts as it was already used for parts, but decided to let anyone else needing one know too. It is a red sx4 with the inline six? (god i hope that's what it's called, i don't want to sound stupid). It actually only needs a battery and some fresh tires and it could run.  I don't know if anyone's interested or if this is useless, but just putting it out there. It has a craiglsist post if if anyone wants the link.  oh and its 600 i believe.

A location would be handy! :)

Ha... Its in the upper peninsula of Michigan.  Near Marquette sorry that's a dumb thing to forget. And I noticed while looking around there's some sort of demand for a part of the bumper?  I dunno, but anyways its bumpers are all there.

The rear bumper end caps are like gold. Almost all of them crumble and break from age and they are specific to the SX/4 so you can't just cheat and use wagon ones!

Well I was thinking it would be good just for the tires and simple stuff.  :censored:

there are quite a few members here that own two or more eagles, you could join the crowd right from the start.

I remembered earlier, it is an sx4 sport, but has serious clutch problems... But I may just snag it up anyway, as I prefer the sport upgrades

If you can grab it cheap why not! :)

Clutch problem is probably related to a bad clutch master cylinder and/or a soft, partly rotted firewall.   Yes, inline 6 is correct.  An AMC 258 (4.2) cubic inch engine with a whopping 112 horsepower from the factory.

Hi! Is the car still up for sale and whole? Is it manual? I'd like to take the challenge of putting it back on the road if the body isn't too rusty and it's not missing too many parts.

youngkyle

I'm sure the guy still has it, I was looking into it right now too. I wanted to buy it for some interior parts, but I'll let you know.  It is manual, not to much rust.  It's missing the mirrors (side and interior mirror)  it's got a rear light that's not attached, but still with it.  It will not drive, has clutch problems, no battery, and some hoses are missing.  drivers side door is also a replacement.  (still red, just not the same color)  has a sunroof, but it's plastic, and I don't know if it's any good still.  seats are torn pretty bad.  Needs new tires too, from sitting so long.  I'll check up on it and see if he still has it, and if not, if it's at a junkyard, although I don't see anything listed online on the  websites up here.  I think I described it pretty good, any other questions, I'll try to answer them as good as I can!
