I had a Kawasaki KLX650R for sale for a couple months with no bites. I offered it up for barter and made a deal with a guy who hooked up the A/C. He used the 5.3L's compressor, built some custom lines and figured out the wiring. It's not ice cold, but it is cool. I think it needs a condesor made for 134a to be cold. Thinking about trying Duracool.

Slight hijack, I've been contemplating that drivetrain swap. What kind of mileage do you think would be possible with that drivetrain in a stocker?

If geared properly, I wouldn't doubt that it would get in the low 20's if not better. My sister had a 2000 Silverado with the 5.3 and she would get right around 20.

Well, I decided to have the dent in the rear right door taken care of that you may have seen in my for sale ad. Also, the black trim job the previous owner did, always drove me nuts. My buddy Jay who lives in Eagleville, TN, coolest name for a town in the world, offered to do the work for me. He makes concrete counter tops, but used to do paint and body when he lived in CT. Luckily, he has a room where is sprays his counter tops and purposely made it big enough to paint a car. Based on some internet searching, I chose John Deere Blitz Black. It's a matte black paint. It's far from a show car job, but great for a off road vehicle. I'm going to add a red pinstripe to separate the black and white.
