I picked up my SX/4 on Saturday (in the middle of a snow storm, turning a 5 hour trip in to an 11 hour one). It is most of the way through a restoration that I'm hoping to finish up in the coming months. The most daunting task is dealing with some extensive wheel arch rust from underneath the trim. You could pretty much put a screw-driver through everything that looks rusty in the picture below. I'm hoping I can cut and grind out the rust and weld in some new metal and use the trim to cover up any sloppy work.
I also need to run some new wiring since some of the insulation has fallen apart in places. After that it's just sanding, primer, and paint before I take it out trail riding. I wasn't too shutter happy after the extended trip in the snow storm so I don't' have good pictures yet, but here's one from when I first got it in its new home.
