Anyone ever heard of a Jeep Geronimo?
« on: February 06, 2013, 10:23:12 PM »
I came  across this jeep the other day in Woodland Park. At a distance it thought it was a golden eagle but as I approached it to take a closer look I noticed the "geronimo" logo in the hood. I googled it on my phone and I couldn't come up with any info on a CJ-7 Geronimo. The lettering looks factory and the seats had "Geronimo" stamped into the pleather too...I waited about 20 minutes to see if the owner would come out so I could ask them about it  but I was at work so i couldn't hang out real long ...what do you guys make of it....dealer package maybe?...like I said I couldnt find anything on this Jeep and its become somewhat of an obsession for me.

If it didn't have the Geronimo stamped in the seats I would suspect it was just some lettering the owner added on.  I have not had any luck finding anything about a "Jeep Geronimo" either.  Good eye Shanebo!

Fifteen pages into my search engine and not a thing on a Jeep Geronimo.  ??? If it was a dealer package I would assume there would be some sort of record of it. Perhaps that Jeep was recently restored and the lettering on the hood and seats was a owner modification.

My search did turn up what seems to be a park in Arizona that has some off road trails for Jeeps. Common relation perhaps?

Might ask these guys if they've ever heard of it - http://www.austinjeeps.com/ They do reproduction graphics for the common Laredo and Golden Eagle. Email them the pic or a link to this thread?

I've never seen one or heard of one. Might be an owner modification. Maybe a proud true Native American?

In a quick search, I found nada, but did find a cool black n white logo graphic of a compound bow with the caption "If Geromino had one of these, you'd be speaking Apache" beneath it.

It's think it's a Jeep thing, many Jeep owners like to put their own words there... I saw one that said "Lubicon" the other night.

I've never heard of it a "Geronimo" before though, so if it's real I bet it's rare.

It is most likely a limited dealer package.  I bought a Dodge Ram, new in 96 that came with the 'Conqueror' package.  I was upgraded wheels, bumper and lettering package.  Other than that, it was a base Ram 1500 shortbox with a 5 speed...... :'( I miss my truck...
No matter how bad YOU think it is ... it could always be WORSE!!

I haven't heard back from austin jeeps yet but Im starting to really think this was a dealer package...which doesnt make it any less interesting or any less cool...it just makes it a lot harder find out it's history.

Gotta be some sort of dealer package with a very limited run. Could also be something somebody won at a casino way back when.
