Valve Body Installation Parking Rod Issue
« on: December 29, 2020, 10:54:04 PM »
Hello!
 1982 SX4 904.

I'm having a hard time trying to install my valve body. It seems like the parking rod won't seat all the way in.  It came out easy enough.  I haven't rotated the transmission at all.

Any tips or tricks I'm missing?

Well the only thing I can think of is that the transmissions in the eagles are 998's not 904's so there could be a few differences other than just the tail shaft seal.

This might help. Most Chrysler torqueflite trans have a lot of similarities from what I understand. I have been told the mr shift tf2 kit will work in the 998 as well as 727, 999.
