new guy in ohio
« on: April 06, 2012, 09:14:08 PM »
hi all, got an 85 wagon a few weeks ago, i had one about 20 years ago, when i ran across this one i had to buy it.
it's in really good shape, no rust at all. 83,000 miles, every thing works but the a/c. put in a new head liner. just pulled the seats out for a good cleaning, the one bolt in the drivers seat above the trans was a real bear. oh, it's also a 5 spped. my old one was an auto. so far every one who sees it has a story to tell about one. i think this car is going to be a fun one.

Welcome, sounds like you found a nice Eagle.

And yes, our Eagles tend to draw attention. I can't recall how many conversions I've had when getting in or out of my Eagle in parking lots and especially when pumping gas cause of the fold down licence plate.  ;D

More about uploading pictures -
Most of us use free Photobucket accounts.
 www.photobucket.com
We recommend clicky pics.  This is a thumbnail picture that enlarges when clicked.  This gives a break to those folks with slow internet connections.
Photobucket has made a change in the way you copy the code.
Here is the way it looks to me:
For a single clicky pic, hover over the picture.  This will open a drop down menu.  Click on the fourth window, img.
It will then say "copied".
Go to the thread where you want to put the picture and paste it in.
For multiple clicky pics, hover over the pictures and click on the small box at the bottom of the picture.
Scroll down and click on "Choose action".  Click "Generate code for selected".
This will open another page.  Click on the third box, "IMG for bulletin boards & forums".  It will say "copied".  Paste it into the thread of your choice.
In both instances you can select "Preview" to make sure it is what you want before you post it.
I'm right 98% of the time, and I don't care about the other 3%.
