« on: July 24, 2012, 06:57:16 PM »
are there any diagrams out there that show how the jack and spare tire all fit back together in the back of the eagles?

i feel theres a lot of noise back there from it not being put back together correctly...

The PO of my old Eagle had wrapped all the things that rattled around in a towel! :)

I had a picture of the spare tire compartment lid that shows the correct way to stow the tools.  I'm at work and have been unable to find the picture.  I'll look again tonight when I'm at home.  Word of warning - I have not been able to stow the jack as shown in the diagram.  It shows it crossways up against the back, against the gas tank filler.  If I put it there I can't get the tire all the way down into the well.
I'm right 98% of the time, and I don't care about the other 3%.

I was mistaken about the jack stowage.  Here is what my 3 diagrams show:

This is the underside of the lid over the spare tire.
I was unable to make it fit like that.  I carry mine as shown in PeterM's picture, but I don't have as much room as his picture shows.

Mine fits like my picture, but you have to put the jack up into that corner before you put the tire in place.  You have to put the hook in after the tire as well.
