Leaf spring main leafs, how far is too gone?

Like many others, my rear leaf springs are sagging pretty badly.  I would like to get the back up to stock height.
It would be nice to be able to get some used jeep springs and reuse my main leafs, but I don't know if they are really usable anymore.

There is a visible inversion of the main leaf (it is beyond flattened) when it is loaded.  I am not sure how it sits unloaded though.
Would a fully supporting second leaf be able to compensate for the worn out main leaf?  Or would it be better to just get an all new leaf pack.

Look for wear marks (where the #2 leaf touches) and any cracking starting on the edges. If not, then it'll be okay for #2 position if you change the main leaf. Did someone write that XJ was the same length, center hole?

XJ Springs are just a hair shorter but will work.  I'll be doing the swap in 2 weeks one one of my wags.  Not sure about the bushings just yet, i will do a writeup with pics.
