How much would you pay for a 1950 mile Concord?

I was looking around on the internet tonight, looking to spend money I dont got...I found a very interesting car for sale at Gesswein Motors. an 82 Concord limited coupe with every power option...power windows, seats, door locks, and leather...but with all those options it had a radio delete. Its a georgeous car and they have quite a few other nice AMCs and other classics including a cherry Eagle coupe. Heres where i got knocked out of my seat....$21,000!!!! the Eagle was over $10,000.

They do have what seems to be too good to be true milage, I just cant see anyone paying that for a concord low miles or not. You would have to really want one bad to spend that kind of money.

If I remember correctly, that Eagle has been on there for many months, which indicates there is no market for that car at that price.  Which would also go for the Concord.  Maybe he figures all he has to do is sell one car at a really inflated price to make his money for the year.

It is a new car dealer. I would think it is safe to assume those are from there own collection. They have quite a nice collection of low mileage vehicles on that website. Car salesman are a breed of there own. I had a buddy who is a car salesman, bought a 1987 Ford Turbocoupe with 27k miles about 6 months ago for $4,500. It looked like it came out of the showroom yesterday. He drives it everyday and immediately listed on his company's website for $14,000.

That is really an outrageous price for the Concord.  

PeterM:  Yeah i like the looks of the 53 Nash. You don't see many of them around anymore either. It is out of my price range but really nice to look at and dream about owning.

I think the Nash is closer to a reasonable price then the concord.

At the bottom of page 5 is a '64 studebaker gran turismo.  that one is going for $16,900.  doesn't have the mileage listed but I'd pay for that. 

the concord is in beautiful shape, but that's beyond reasonable.

The original MSRP on that 88' Coupe de Ville was $23,049. I guess if ya missed your chance in 1988 to buy a new one and you have dreamed of owning a new 1988' cadillac coupe de ville since late 1987 then this is the chance of a life time!    It does beg the question though...does it have the original oil?

He paid $5600 on auction over a year ago and has had that price on it ever since. It is nice but it's not even a 1980. Those bumpers never looked right on the 2 door, especially the back bumper which looks like it was pushed in even though it isn't. To me a 1980 apples to apples in condition is far more desirable and I have one of each. I would not think twice about modifying the 81. He paid a record price for 2 doors as far as I know since 2006. They have been creeping up but not that much. I won't even address the other ridiculous price.

Wow this is interesting.  Nice looking '78 Concord with a 304 in it though...

I'm just wondering if these vehicle's odometers "flipped over" once...if you know what I mean.

No, it was the Eagle, I stopped around $4500 or so. It is a nice one.
