will a 1980 727 bolt up to a 1974 360?

Should bolt right up. The change from Borg Warner to Torqueflites happened in '72 I believe.

it should bolt up, however if the 360 used to be bolted to a th400 then there will be a piece that will need to be removed. i dont know the correct name for it, but it is in the end of the crank shaft.

The infamous pilot sleeve! Killed a 727 I built for someone 10 years ago. It forced the converter back through the trans front pump and it died after only a couple days.
AMC/Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental!
