Old post, but I thought I'd throw out the Model 20 came in rare 1 piece axle version for '86 to 'late '88 Comanches 1 tonne package. (Dana 44s after that)

Yes sir I know i been looking for an MJ-20, I found out the 71'-74' Jav-20 is the same width, tho its got 2 piece axles it has a stronger axle housing supposedly . . . I was told buy the Jav-20 housing and install Moser or MJ-20 axle shafts to get a top notch 60" WMS spaced AM-20, this axle will also swap right under an Eagle ;)

:amc: So i'm looking for a pair of 60" AM-20's 1 for my 343 MJ build and 1 for my SX/4 290 swap ;)

FSJ-20 variant 66.5" WMS spacing.

8Lug J20 = 67"-69" WMS spaced.

Depending on axle n year . . .

You ment "J20" as in Javelin 20 ? ? ?

68'-70'AMX/Javelin is 58" WMS.

71'-74'Javelin is 60" WMS.

Oh sorry, WMS = Wheel Mounting Surface.

The surface your rims touch, Such as Rotor or Drum . . .

I asked the same thing myself don't feel to bad.

Just a mention, but the spring pad for the 2wd has the rubber isolator and the XJ, Eagles, etc do not. The Eagle axle is slightly wider than the AMXs too. I found that out when I put an Eagle rear diff in my '82 Spirit (still bolted in, but I'm disappointed by the small tire size I have to put on)

So then the AM-20 swapped under the Eagle will run a touch narrow ? Allowing for a wider tire selection ? ?

Which AM-20 would I need ? ? ?
