I am working on my family photo albums and came across this picture of my wife and daughter snacking in the back of my Eagle when we lived in Yemen some years ago.

I love Eagles with foreign and "exotic" (in this case, indeed) plates ;)

Oh, really ? I guess that's why I need BOTH rear bumper corner caps now. Doh !

That plate is probably not exotic in Yemen.  An Arkansas plate would probably
attract some attention in Yemen.

Yup, but I'm speaking from my point of view ;) Any US plate would look exotic to me, but a Yemen one is the most exotic thing I can imagine on a US made car...

How did they deal with those long european plates?...must have had to mount them on the bumper.

Shanebo: yes, it would be a problem, but we have a solution for that ;)

In Italy (but I believe it's the same in most Euro countries) we have a special series of plates for vehicles with "square" rear plate mounts. The plates are, indeed, very similar in size and shape to US ones, just a bit larger. In fact I had to "reduce" mine with a hacksaw, to make it fit the swinging gas door ;D
