so ive been gone a bit but im back i was just wondering i am using to stock tranny in my car but i an plan to make about 200-250hp on my straight 6 but i was wondering if the stock tranny could handle that much power if not is there a way to upgrade if not ill just use a jeep tranny thx :eaglebig:

If you're not driving it hard - fast starts and burnouts - the stock 998 will probably last a while. If you're going to drive it hard, a 727 is bullet proof. It's the shock loads that hurt the internals.

Either way, an auxiliary transmission cooler will really help it last.

Ya ok cause it's just going to be a daily driver with maybe he occasional offroading but nothing to intense

Im doing the 4.0 EFI upgrade on mine and i was asking the exact same thing...The general concensus seemed to be that the stock tranny will hold up
