Hinge pins and bushings... Dimensions...

Did anyone ever come up with the actual dimensions of the Mopar replacement hinge pins and bushings??

Out of my own curiousity, I went to the local Mopar dealer and bought a set...
I found out, that if you don't actually mention AMC but just give them a part number, they don't laugh or even roll their eyes at you!!!   

Anyway...  In case anyone is interested...  Here are the dimensions of the parts:

Pin:   0.317" dia. 
        2.950" in length to the bottom of the head

Bushing:  0.419" O.D.
              0.327" I.D.
              0.245" in length to the bottom of the head/flange

I'm guessing that every car would have a different amount of wear in the hinges...  And many will probably need to be oversized...  But here's a baseline to work with....
Anyone got a "Help" catalogue or something similar that can help us find slightly oversized parts if necessary??

I did some research.   I think the GM pins for the 71 - 79 Novas, Omegas .... appears close.  I had to convert from decimal to fractions.  I am still trying to figure out the bushings.

i also want to rehang both doors on an sx/4. driver side sags and can be moved up and down 1/4 inch at least. what parts do i need?

I wanted to bump this as I've been slogging through the old posts and I might not be the only one who isn't thrilled at the idea of having to 'modify' hinges which we should be able to just bang out and replace with 'the right part'.

My local shop has this sort of 'Help yourself' trays with the GM Applications chart.

I found this to be the most useful post so far (Other than hitting up the local Chrysler shop -as per whutmore- )

We are selling thru the store the 83-5707 pins and the 81-5307 bushings.  We used to supply the 84-5830 pins but they were a hair too short, IMO.  So I went with the longer ones.

So are these virtually the OEM OD and ID bushings as well?

I guess, from the feed back that I have gotten that they both the OD and ID are a bit bigger, just a hair bigger than OE.  When I used them I had to barely enlarge the hinge side opening to accomodate the bushing, I think it was about 1/32 of an inch, maybe a bit less.  I forget the drill size I used, then the new pins worked just fine in the new bushings.
