It JUST 5h1trolet the bed & I need another one. I have located one out of a Kammback 4 banger, 4 speed. Is it an acceptable replacement? I forgot to ask what year Kammback. The one I had was full-time 4 WD. NO switch ('81).
If the Kammback has the ability to be shifted, they both should be the NP229, so yes, it will work. Even if it isn't a shift on the fly case, it would probably work, the CAD on the front axle would just need to be locked in. A later transfer case (85 and newer) should work too (86 had an NP128 that was one year only, but it would still work), those ones were only shift on the fly because the CAD in the front axle was discontinued.
Just to clarify the Eagles never had a NP229, those were found in the Grand Wagoneers. The Eagles had the NP129. (Same shell as the NP229 but without low range)

Quote from: Taylor on August 18, 2025, 12:15:24 PM3D printing is what I was thinking, however they are quite long and my guess that it would need to be scanned and printed in several pieces. There are 3D printers that are big enough to print them in one piece but they're also really expensive.
