Of all the things I've had an Eagle called, I think today topped them all! Some (young) guy asked the usual questions even misheard AMC & thought I said AMG) & then said it looked like a BIG crapalot or Mercedes! Seriously? BIG? Mercedes? I never thought an Eagle was *big*, in fact, I always thought they were kinda SMALL!!
Some people still aren't ready for the Eagle, even after all these years. Extreme patience may be necessary as we educate them all on these great vehicles :rotfl:
I wonder, is it even possible? A MERCEDES??? :hyper:

There is a advertisement with an Eagle parked next to a Mercedes. I will post it when I find it. The Eagles were marketed as an all weather luxury car. I used to drive an 84 Jaguar and had that mistaken for a Mercedes more than a few times. If someone sees an old car that looks luxurious the main car that most people think of is Mercedes.
I found the video. If you pause at 6 seconds you can see the Mercedes in the garage.
I'd take the Eagle over the Mercedes any day!!
I've had people think my Eagle was an AMG or a GMC when I tell them it's an AMC. It's wild.
I had someone mistake my wagon for a Pacer one time. At least they got the company right.
That is hilarious, Mercedes. :rotfl:
I have heard the GMC one several times but never have I seen a Eagle confused with anything made in europe.
