Title: Faster than 85mph
Post by: Paul Revere on April 07, 2022, 12:17:48 AM
While I'm sure eagle's can go faster than the 85 printed on the speedometer, is the speedometer capable of spinning the needle all the way around without breaking?

As long as the cable is well lubricated and the speedometer isn't binding I don't see why not.
But without an Overdrive gear that engine is going to not enjoy it. Neither will your fuel economy.
Once you get close to 5000rpm on a stock engine you can expect things to be at their limit.

I'm was more wondering if the needle would hit a stop on the guage face. Thanks for the reply though!
rest assured I'm not planning on taking my eagle to light speed, a cool 70 I'd probably the most she'll see
