Title: Clutch throw out bearing (different lengths?)
Post by: Vgrizzw on June 19, 2021, 10:59:23 AM
Hello all. A while back i installed a new clutch kit in my 84' eagle that has the warner t-5. I did this at the same time i swapped the transfer case, rear axle (with locker), and the R&P front/rear. Lots of moving parts that i spread out over several months.

Now that its all finished my clutch disengages right off the floor. A couple years ago i replaced the master, slave, new braided line with a clutch fluid reservoir so i dont believe any of those to be the culprit. Also the old clutch worked fine before i replaced it.

Is it possible that the new throw out bearing is the wrong length? (In my research since ive seen 2 lengths available for cj's).  I've already thrown away my old one so when i pull the trans i wont be able to compare. Any insight is appreciated.
