I am considering this alternator as an upgrade to my current soon-to-fail one: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=New+Alternator+Delco+12SI+94+AMP+12+Volt+V+Drive+Pulley+CW+For+AMC+GM+CLARK+HYSTER+1983-1990&ref=nb_sb_noss (https://www.amazon.com/s?k=New+Alternator+Delco+12SI+94+AMP+12+Volt+V+Drive+Pulley+CW+For+AMC+GM+CLARK+HYSTER+1983-1990&ref=nb_sb_noss). It has its connectors in the 12 o'clock position, as opposed to my current alternator's 9 o'clock position.
I have read various advice to always match the 'clock position' of an replacement alternator's connections to the existing one, but I don't see why this would be important on the Eagle. There's plenty of room and plenty of slack in the wires.
Am I missing something? Anyone ever had a problem installing a 12 o'clock alternator in their Eagle?
Thanks,
JB
I have reclocked an original eavle alternator to be more user friendly to access the connections.
