Title: How to replace clutch master cylinder
Post by: trucker79005 on September 12, 2017, 01:45:27 PM
I've had a lot of help so far diagnosing my clutch problems and now know that both the master cylinder and the slave are both leaking. I just received news that removing the brake booster and master cylinder is required. I didn't see any other way but I was sure hoping I didn't have to since that is another job that is new to me....

I just ordered a Wagner SC103458 slave cylinder off of Amazon and the master from American Parts Depot so maybe I'm on the right track.

Any and all comments are welcome because I am in way over my head... :newbie:

I don't remember having to remove the brake booster/brake master when I did my clutch master. It's been awhile though, so I could just be forgetting

Best I can tell there's no other way to get to it. I got the slave cylinder out today. It was a little bit of a pain but nothing else had to come out. Going to attack the master tomorrow..

I have the new slave. Got the last one off of amazon with overnight shipping  ;D I'd love to get it in before the master cylinder gets here but I'm not sure what to do with this piece that's broken. Any thoughts? It looks like it's ribbed and must sacrifice itself to keep the other nylon cap from disintegrating
