I have a question about a t5 I bought for my eagle. Unfortunately it's a t5 with the Chevy nose on it. I can't seem to figure out what the trans was originally built for. Calling anyone good with Chevy manual trans
Is it a 4x4 transmission? If so, the only Chevy T5 4x4 I know of came in the S10. Did 4 cyl Eagles ever come with a 5 speed? If so, it would have a GM based front half.
It is a 4x4 but it doesn't look like an s10 trans very strange the tailshaft looks like a t5 jeep (or eagle) but the nose is the Chevy bell housing not the ford bolt pattern.
Pic?

Unfortunately, the casting numbers on the main case and adapter don't help. The sticker on the top of the transmission says it's from a 1986 V8 F Body GM vehicle. Seeing how the adapter housing is painted and the main case is not, I wonder if it's a hodge podge of two different transmissions? It may not even be what the sticker says it is. The V8 Chevy input shafts have 26 splines and the V6 have 14 splines.
From this table http://www.britishv8.org/articles/borg-warner-t5-id-tags.htm
1352-157 GMC 1986 V8 F Cars .9 V8 LG4-LG9 U 2.76 2.95 1.94 1.34 1.00 0.63
OK. Looking at the chart above, the T5 was available in 4 cyl Eagles in 84-86. Those would have a Chevy bellhousing.
