I want to pull out the ac system and cruise control. The alternator belt and the heater core cut off are the question. Will the ac switch on the dash still work the vacuum to the cut off and is there a different mount or set up for the belt? Both eagles I have have ac.
Ok just checked epedia and I see belt routing so I need a different mount for the alternator.
You might be able to use the alternator brackets from a '87-'90 AMC 2.5L inline four,

the Jeep engine used in the first generation of square headlight wranglers(YJs). The AMC 2.5L in those early years of wranglers had V-belts, and most of em did not have AC, giving you a source for AC-delete alterntator brackets. The AMC 2.5L I-4 shares front block architecture with the AMC I-6 engines. People are snatching up early 4-banger YJs and dumping in any other engine they can dig out of another vehicle, and throwing away the 4banger, making the brackets you want easier to find, possibly for free.
As for removing the cruise control, that is simply unplugging everything and removing the actuator, and making sure to plug up the vacuum port that once fed the actuator . . and ignoring the leftover cruise switch stuff on the turn signal stalk.
