Hi eaglefreek,
I didn't see your post :(, but it makes it even cooler to know a member is in the show.. for the ones that miss the show on TV .. the link will take your computer to the history channel site to watch later on your p/c.
Regards, Iron Horse :o
No prob. I just wanted you to see it was someone here.
Just watched the show. It was nice to see an Eagle get some attention on TV. I'm sure each member will have their own opinion on the modifications, but I like the concept. It would have been nicer to see more of the show spent on what was actually done to the car rather than the hunt for the engine and a fender trim.
Eaglefreek, you were awesome - you more than held your own with the "stars." Maybe you can get your own show now!!
YAY! I could've slapped that guy to heck and back tho. Mocking the 80's in the beginning of the show...He should've been casted in Wayne's World for being stuck in the 80s/
It was great that you were casted Eaglefreek! I'm proud that Collier didn't part out the Eagle. I get it. Enjoy the Eagle Eaglefreek. NEED pics and story...if you are allowed.
I wonder why they didn't pop the hook on the show? I would've gone with the 304 from my '77 AMX before a Ford 302. (not hating) Just because it's easier and it has been done. (see the posts about Cam Brown's "Flying with V8 Eagles"). Claiming "no-one ever did it before" has a number of people choked. Max98059 was doing that with his SX4 before his near divorce.
Hi carnuck, I was wondering the same thing .. about the 304 .. thinking :o .. building up a 304 to a level with todays technology might have been challenging. The Ford 302 was already fuel injected and is a proven design, I think it was just easier for them to use. I was also dissapointed about the 4WD being deleted, but with it being lowered, probably gave them little choice. Overall I was impressed with what they did, and no-one needs to know what engine's under the hood >:D when ya leave 'em in the dust. Like the little Nash / Rambler song .. Beep Beep. Regards, I H :o
Some 304s are being built with 4.0L pistons in them and a custom cam for more oomph with the Indy heads and EFI on them. The 302 they put in looked like it was carbed to me?
Welding in the Ford crossmember was a shortcut I wouldn't have done.
they should've just went with a Concord wagon and put the flairs on it.
