Title: Down pipe on bell housing
Post by: Seagulls n Eagle on May 13, 2015, 09:50:10 AM
Ok, check it out. I swapped in an ax-15 and incountered this issure upon installation of the exhaust system.

The bellhousing of the ax-15 interfered with the down pipe. I flattened the pipe alittle to get it to fit but
Not sure how the heat will effect the clutch and transmission.

How big a problem might this be?

Any thoughts

So, I managed to re work the down pipe arrangement. I actually had to because it was set off at an angle and I had a small leak at the manafold. The exhaust is still is routed the same but I managed to get a small amouy of clearance between the pipe and the bell housing. The exhaust pipe isn't touching any more so there isn't that conduction of heat.

I hope it doesn't cause any issues. I'm curious  as to how the exhaust is routed for a t-5. It must me similar.

Ill update if there are any problems
