Title: fuel gauge

the fuel gauge  on my 1986 eagle wagon stop working  the needle is right down in the bottom of the gauge   I know there is gas in the tank ..  what could be the problem ???  thanks PAUL

First thing I would do is check to make sure the wire is attached to the sending unit at the gas tank.

Then I would check to see that the gauge still works.  You can do this by grounding the wire that is attached to the sending unit, that should make the needle move to full.  Do this with the key in the on position, but not running.

Oh yeah, maybe the first thing to do is check the fuse!

Ground wire on the tank can be an issue too.
