Title: Bearings
Post by: AMCLOVER258 on January 27, 2015, 05:45:33 PM
Hey guys quick question. When im out in my eagle and im dogging her pretty good she starts to slap on the bottom end. It almost sounds like the crank. So im thinking of replacing the bearings. My question is with as old as she is will i risk any further damage but just dropping the oil pan and slapping all new bearings on without changing anything else??

If you hill climb a lot, it could be starving for oil (stuff in the pan plugs the screen or too low) I run 1/2 quart over when wheeling. Could it be pinging? When they heat up they tend to ping a bit when pushed.

No its more or less a HEAVY slapp and its in perfect harmony like everytime the crank loops around its hitting something. I am in kentucky so if im driving its up hill and down hill hahah
