I have the engine out of my Eagle, and after experiencing how incredibly difficult it is to disconnect the exhaust from the stock manifold, I decided to replace it. I am going to purchase the Clifford header. I don't think the header will have any kind of holes for the EGR tube or the oxygen sensor. Since I have already done the motorcraft conversion and the ECM Test bypass, and I removed and blocked off the EGR, do I still need the oxygen sensor and EGR tube, or can I just plug the intake and not worry about reconnecting the oxygen sensor?
Thanks
Disclaimer. It is against federal law to tamper with emissions equipment even if you don't have state emissions inspections.
With that out of the way, if the ECM is bypassed, there is no reason for the O2 sensor. 8)
I saved the non-AIR pipe exhaust from my Jeep to put in my Eagle but I will probably go 4.0L header or at least LPG instead of a carb.
