Title: 998 In 82 eagle REBUILD HELP

My 998 TF is Shifting VERY hard and doesnt like to shift from park on a hill. i need to rebuild it and can't seem to locate a rebuild kit! any options or anyone whose rebuilt one with another type of kit????

Pretty sure 904 is the same.

Lots of kits out there.   If you read the back on most of them it says they are for the 904, 998, 999 and some even list the 727.

Watch out! The 904 uses a skinnier rear band than 998/999 (almost identical to each other) Later 999 setups have a different converter (@'95) where they went to an equal offset bolt pattern AND a stronger neck (all 9XX's weakest spot). 999 also has the converter lockup on a solenoid in the valvebody.

999 runs more clutches in the drums too.

I have a 999 bare case from a '99 Wrangler with the valvebody, dipstick tube (not sure where the stick is) and crank position sensor. For sale. In Seattle $75
