A couple months ago I went up north to Grass Valley CA to pick up this Eagle. The guy was giving it for free. However, I gave him $300 for the car and all the parts, as I am sure he could have gotten that much from a wrecking yard. It cost me about $700 total (not including my time off work and wear and tear on a borrowed truck) to bring the car home. I let myself spend the time and money to pick up this car, not realizing I don't need anymore projects. I would like to make a little for my efforts, and would like to get $900 for everything. The car is loaded with parts in the cargo area, and on the floors. The trans and TC are still in the car, but the engine is disassembled out of the car. It appears to have been rebuilt recently. The whole problem with the car was a cracked flex plate. It was thought to be a rod knock, and that was the reason for the tear down. A Motorcraft carb and new starter are included. As far as I know, the only parts missing are the torque converter and flex plate (and new bolts of course). Here are some photos:

PM if you are interested. Thanks, Rich
Looks to be in real nice shape.
Anyone? I would like to see this car back on the road, but I am full up on projects right now.
If I hadn't found mine already, I'd be all over it.
I'm just on the wrong coast.
Two guys from Arizona (Jake & Tom) came and picked up the car and all the parts today.

I asked them to post the progress of the restoration here. I am happy it will get back on the road someday. They are also in an area where no smog inspections are done, so the Motorcraft carb will probably get used. I am in So. Cal, so it would not have been an option for the car here........Rich
Glad to hear someone picked it up and will put it back on the road. And thanks to you Rollguy for saving it in the first place until it found a new home!
Greetings here from Kenosha WI. That's excellent news that the SX/4 is in good hands and will be back on the road someday! My 79 AMC Pacer hatchback is almost done. Just in time for the Kenosha Homecoming too! -Matt.
